Travelling to USA after 12th January 2009???

You can no longer fill in a visa waiver form on the aeroplane.
If you are travelling after 12 Jan 2009 you will need to fill in an online request to enter the States, at least three days before travelling, otherwise you’ll be turned away at US immigration.  You have to apply for this US visa online.  It is best to do this BEFORE applying for flights and acommodation, etc… just in case… you are not permitted entry to the states.

Here is what you need to do to get your US visa online

The application form is available right now on the ESTA’s website. It is free.  Watch out as some websites will try and charge ou a fee (beware the sharks).

If your application is granted it will last for two years OR when your passport expires (whichever happens first). Then you need to apply all over again.

Disney is offering a fantastic “free nights” vacation package offer. It is valid for stays January 4 through June 27, 2009 (with April 5-18 blacked out).

Basically:

• Buy a 4-night/4 day vacation package, get a 7-night/7-day package. That is 3 FREE hotel nights and 3 extra days on your theme park admission tickets!
• Travel between January 4 and March 29 with this “free nights” package and you will also get a $200 Disney Gift Card, redeemable for dining, souvenirs and more at Walt Disney World! (If you travel after the 29th March 2009 it does not include the Gift Card.)

You can work out how much you would save on a 7-night package:

• Multiply the room rate 3 times - this gives you the three free nights you are saving by not paying for them.
• Add $9 per person (estimated ticket savings for the three extra days).
• Add the $200 gift card if you will be traveling by 29th March 2009.
• The total is the amount of money you will be saving. Then check to see if you could save more money by booking our Disney Rental Villa and buying discounted park tickets through a recognized Disney reseller.

In order to take part in this offer you must buy a package that includes at least 4 nights’ accommodation at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel plus minimum 4 day Magic Your Way Base Tickets in order to qualify for the FREE nights and the extra days on your tickets.

You may stay longer than 7 nights (up to 10 nights in total) with this package, but there is a maximum of 3 free nights and 3 extra days per ticket, per stay.

You may stay less than 7 nights, but you still must purchase 4 nights, so you will end up with less than 3 free nights/extra days: stay 5 nights, get 1 free; stay 6 nights, get 2 free. Obviously a 7-night stay is the best deal!

The package includes standard Magic Your Way Base Tickets. You can upgrade them with the Park Hopper and/or Water Parks & More option(s), but you’ll pay the regular price for those upgrades.

TOP TIP: However if you add the “No expiration” option to a 7 day ticket, you are only charged the No Expiration cost for a 4 day ticket. Therefore, you can add the No Expiration option to your 7-day ticket at less than half the normal price ($53.25 per ticket instead of $117.15). You can also add the Water Parks option at normal price ($53.25 per ticket) and then you will have 7 water park admissions that don’t expire!

Happy Birthday! Brilliant news… In 2009, you can get into Walt Disney World, Florida or Disneyland Resort, California for free on your birthday. That’s right, you pay zip, nada, nil, zero*.

*You have to prove your date of birth with your id and this will not get you money back if you are a passholder or multi day ticket holder.
